Lahinch Golf Club has often been called 'The St. Andrews of Ireland,' and with good reason. Its location in the town of Lahinch offers a similarly cozy feeling to that of the home of golf. The Championship Course is the creation of two primal geniuses of the game. Old Tom Morris laid out the original 18 holes in 1893. Three decades later, Dr. Alister Mackenzie transformed its knobby, grass-covered dunes into one of the world's classic links. Photo by Stephen Szurlej, Senior Staff Photographer, Golf Digest.
